Job summary

Lakeland Arts is seeking a part-time Estates professional to oversee maintenance, safety, and grounds across its venues in the UK. You will coordinate with teams, manage contractors, and maintain records to ensure compliant, safe, and welcoming sites for staff and visitors.

The role focuses on practical maintenance, health & safety compliance, and collaborative delivery of estate services within a heritage and visitor-facing context.

Qualifications

• Experience managing estates and teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned maintenance, repairs and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Log repairs reported by staff and visitors and ensure timely action.
• Coordinate with curatorial and operations teams on conservation standards.
• Manage records including fire safety folders and PAT testing compliance.
• Be keyholder and contribute to emergency plans.
• Support visitor experience, catering, retail and events teams.
• Source materials and tools for maintenance and upgrades.
• Manage grounds and car parking with external contractors.
• Lead Estates Assistant and coordinate volunteers.
• Ensure health and safety policy compliance.
