Job summary

Draken Europe is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager to lead engineering activities across Operations and Programme from Bournemouth with regular UK travel. The role is part-time (30 hours) and permanent, reporting to the VP Engineering, coordinating with Design Office, CAMO, Manufacturing and MRO to ensure reliable fleet delivery.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with customers and stakeholders, drive risk mitigation, and contribute to bids and development activities,

Qualifications

• Degree or apprenticeship in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical engineering.
• Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary teams within a regulated environment.
• Experience delivering complex engineering programmes with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance.
• Experience in Aerospace and/or Defence sector; knowledge of UK CAA and Defence (MAA) frameworks.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the Engineering function throughout the project lifecycle, from bid stage through delivery and support.
• Develop and deliver engineering solutions meeting customer, operational, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Programmes, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Lead technical teams and validate solutions to ensure requirements are met.
• Manage engineering risks, opportunities, and technical challenges, implementing mitigation plans.
• Support bid activities, including technical solution development, customer engagement, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor programme performance against cost, quality, schedule, and KPI targets.
• Drive continuous improvement across Engineering functions.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
