Job summary

Weston College is opening the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College (AMTEC) in Filton, Bristol, welcoming its first learners in September 2026. We are looking for a part-time Lecturer in Computer Programming (AMTEC) to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Engineering programmes, with a focus on Python, C and C++ programming to apprenticeship cohorts.

• Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.

As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, Weston College is excited to be opening the brand-new Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College in Filton, Bristol, which will welcome its first learners in September 2026.

As part of our expansion into our new site, we are looking for someone to join the team on a part-time basis (15 hours per week) as a Lecturer in Computer Programming (AMTEC).

The working pattern for this role for this academic year, will be Monday (all day) and Tuesday (all day).

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at AMTEC.

As a Lecturer in Computer Programming at AMTEC, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of Engineering programmes. You will be delivering Python, C, C++ Programming and Computer Practice to a number of apprenticeship cohorts.

Day to day duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area;
• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards;
