New Appointments Group is seeking an Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role in Gillingham. The position covers 3 days per week from 6.00am to 2.00pm, with some flexibility.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment to keep machinery, systems and facilities safe, reliable and operational. You will diagnose faults, keep accurate records and work with the team to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an electrical/mechanical maintenance engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and safety.
• Relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications or demonstrable experience.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain machinery, equipment and site services.
• Identify potential problems and carry out preventative repairs.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Work closely with the wider team to minimise equipment downtime.
• Follow all relevant health & safety procedures.
