Maintenance Technician (Part Time, On Call)

Location: Worksop

Salary: £18,388 to £22,985 + On Call Payments

Job Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (potential extension)

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a food manufacturing site in Worksop. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking for reduced hours while still being involved in a hands on engineering role.

Please note: This role includes a significant on call commitment, so we are looking for candidates who are comfortable with this level of responsibility.

Working Pattern

This role is structured around a 3 week cycle:

Core Hours (Part Time):

• Week 1: 6am to 2pm (Mon - Wed)
• Week 2: 6am to 2pm (Thurs - Fri)
• Week 3: 10am to 6pm (Mon - Wed) + on call week

You will typically work:

• 2 days per week (16 hours) OR Potentially 50% hours (5 days over 2 weeks) depending on the candidate

On Call Requirement (Key Part of Role)

• 1 full week on call every 3 weeks (including weekends)
• Includes bank holidays if they fall within your on call week
• On call is paid separately and can significantly increase overall earnings

Typical On Call Payments:

• Approx. £298 per on call week (paid only during your on call week)
• This equates to roughly £100 per week on average across the full cycle
• Additional payments for phone support and site attendance
• Minimum payments apply for all call outs
• On call payments are paid in addition to your base salary
