Job summary

John Taylor MAT in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The post is fixed-term until 31 August 2027 and part-time, covering 19 hours weekly across Monday to Friday with specific start and end times.

Salary is Grade 4 (SCP 6–7) £26,847 - £27,274 per annum pro rata, with actual annual pro rata salary approximately £11,911 - £12,100. Closing date is 2 October 2026; interviews on 7 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Support the teacher in adapting planning and resources to meet the individual needs of a pupil with an EHCP.
• Provide learning support to pupils.
• Support the intimate care needs and personal needs of pupils in Early Years.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils.
• Liaise effectively and professionally with parents and carers.
• Support the ethos of the school and Early Years department.
