Witchampton CE First School is seeking a Teaching Assistant G5 on a fixed term contract for 15 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year). The post offers an actual salary of £8,979–£9,122 (Grade 5) and runs 10.30am–1.30pm, five days a week.

Interviews on 5 October 2026 with a start date as soon as possible; closing date 27 September 2026. Temporary appointment until 24 March 2027, with potential extension to end of Summer term.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Ability to prioritise and work to conflicting deadlines.
• Strong communication with staff, pupils and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for pupils under supervision.
• Liaise regularly with staff, pupils and parents across the school and with Trust central team colleagues.
