Job summary

East Huntspill Primary School is seeking a dedicated Preschool Practitioner to join our Early Years team. This permanent role covers 13 hours per week, with Monday and Tuesday 8:30–3:15pm, during term time plus 2 INSET days.

You will help provide a caring, stimulating environment and support individual childcare plans with the Preschool Manager. The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification; Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in childcare/education (nursery or pre-school)
• Understanding of EYFS and child development
• Ability to plan activities and work with parents
• Safeguarding and well-being of young children

Responsibilities

• Contribute to activity planning and community events
• Monitor and evaluate children’s progress; maintain records
• Collaborate with EYFS team, volunteers, and external agencies
• Ensure OFSTED compliance and health and safety policies
• Maintain resources and equipment for safe operations
