Job summary

Oasis Academy Skinner Street in Gillingham, Kent, is opening a new Nursery in January 2027. We are seeking an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to support a safe, engaging early learning environment and help children build confidence and independence.

You will work with the EYFS Lead to plan activities, support families with transitions, and foster strong relationships across the school community to boost attainment and attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a Nursery/EYFS classroom and supporting families with the transition into Nursery/School.
• A passion for education of the littlest learners, with expertise in various methods of delivering engaging learning activities.
• An ability to quickly develop rapport with all members of the school community, while developing and maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Creating a caring, stimulating and engaging environment that enables all pupils to learn effectively, mindful of the fact that some pupils will not have experience attending a similar setting.
• Assisting with planning and preparing lessons and learning activities appropriate for the age group and ability of the children in the class.
• Actively participating in the Oasis Skinner Street family, working to ensure the best outcomes for all children, and supporting the wider community.
