Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Windermere Day Nursery, Kettering. The role is permanent, 22.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 10:00–14:30), with a pro-rata salary of £25,096.50 per annum (£12.87 per hour).

You will bring catering experience, COSHH and allergens knowledge, and a commitment to 5-star hygiene while preparing meals for young children and supporting healthy eating.

Qualifications

• Professional catering experience.
• Knowledge of COSHH, allergens and manual handling.
• Maintaining 5-star hygiene standards in a kitchen.
• Safeguarding and dietary needs of children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for up to 115 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Follow set menu and use fresh ingredients.
• Contribute to maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Support healthy eating in partnership with Nursery Cook.
