Job summary

Childbase Partnership Linmere in Houghton Regis is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to prepare meals for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, on a permanent 37.5 hour week. You will support the Nursery Cook and help deliver nutritious menus with high hygiene standards.

Applicants must have experience in a professional kitchen, knowledge of COSHH and allergens, and a commitment to safeguarding and healthy eating in a childcare setting. DBS checks and Right to Work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of COSHH and allergens to maintain 5-star hygiene standards.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to safeguard and meet the dietary needs of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals from the set-menu using fresh ingredients.
• Support the Nursery Cook and resume full responsibility in their absence.
• Promote healthy eating and maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen.
