Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Assistant for the Harwell nursery in Didcot, caring for children up to 5 years old. You will join a team providing interactive play, reading, and activities to support development and curiosity.

The nursery serves up to 94 children and offers a range of resources, with a culture built on HEART principles to support families and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
• Pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5, through interactive play and activities.
• Support colleagues with each child's development toward key milestones.
• Engage children with reading, movement, and creative activities.

Job description

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds - supporting colleagues with each child's development towards their key milestones.

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents

We're looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Harwell nursery. This nursery cares for up to 94 children aged 3 months to 5 years. Based in the Harwell Campus in Didcot the nursery has a large range of resources and activities including a mini kitchen for the children to get involved in cooking with our qualified nursery chef and also dance classes with Boogie Mites where the children can express themselves and learn through music and movement.
