Job summary

Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery & Pre-School is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join a collaborative team caring for babies and children up to age 5. You will engage through interactive play, reading, and development-focused activities, helping children reach key milestones.

We welcome applicants with or without prior nursery experience. DBS check and safeguarding practices are part of the recruitment process, with a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team
• Support development through interactive play, reading, and activities
• Encourage curiosity and progress toward milestones

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.
