Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Whitchurch is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to deliver groceries from our 3.5 tonne van, on-time and in great condition, and to provide excellent service at customers' doorsteps.

You’ll complete vehicle checks, stay safe, and assist customers with substitutions, while also supporting store teams when not out on deliveries. A full UK driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK, and a willingness to learn digital tools are required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence held 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Willing to complete an online driving risk assessment during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps, on-time and in good condition.
• Complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy and delivery cases are secure before driving.
• Serve customers with helpful substitutions and information, and handle delays professionally.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed.
