Job summary

Sainsbury's Group is seeking an enthusiastic Home Delivery Driver to deliver groceries by 3.5 tonne van to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring on-time arrival and care for the goods. You will support the store at times, maintain vehicle readiness, and assist customers with substitutions and questions.

A strong knowledge of products and promotions will help you offer useful recommendations. Successful candidates are flexible, work well in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable learning new

Qualifications

Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with no more than 6 points.
Right to Work in the UK.
Online driving risk assessment during interview; driving assessment on join.

Responsibilities

Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers on time and in good condition.
Carry out checks to keep van organised, clean, roadworthy and secure before driving.
Assist customers with questions and substitutions; inform them of delays as needed.
Learn product, service and promotion knowledge to offer recommendations.
When not delivering, assist across the store as required.
