Darnford Rose Care Home is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our housekeeping team. This part-time role offers 26 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.80. The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness, support laundry, and ensure residents’ belongings are handled with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic roles is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, infection prevention and safety practices.
• organised, reliable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good time management and caring attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards in bedrooms, communal areas and the wider home.
• Provide efficient laundry service including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing.
• Label residents' belongings and ensure careful handling of items.
• Create a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents, families and visitors.
• Follow infection prevention, Health & Safety, COSHH and company procedures.
• Report faults or maintenance issues with cleaning equipment.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning and laundry supplies and report shortages.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the home to uphold high housekeeping standards.
• Respond to resident requests and support wellbeing where possible.
• Maintain a clean, organised and homely environment.
