Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Healthcare Support Worker. You will help deliver high-quality outpatient diabetes care, assist with clinic processes and prepare patients for appointments.

This part-time role (23.25 hours over 3 weekdays) requires a friendly, empathetic approach, good communication, and basic IT skills. Experience with phlebotomy is preferred, but training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred; training will be provided.
• Basic understanding of computers and software is vital.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical observations and venepuncture for clinic patients.
• Perform glucose/ketone testing and download diabetes technology.
• Support timely clinic running; assist with stock replenishment and cleaning.
• Provide friendly, empathetic patient care and effective communication.
• Work both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team.
