Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence. The role is contracted to 20 hours per week with variable shifts, supporting 250+ UK military establishments and secure environments across the UK energy and government sectors.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, enjoy hands-on work, and be flexible with shifts. Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential.

• Cleaning experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop, and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, windows, and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as needed, including quick spill clean-ups.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
