Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 25 hours per week. The role includes day shifts Mon-Fri and is part of Compass Group UK&I’s Defence services.

You will help maintain safe, hygienic environments across client sites with a hands-on approach and a flexible mindset. Prior cleaning experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning duties and facilities support.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas to a high standard.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Perform spill clean-ups quickly and efficiently.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.
