Job summary

Michael Page Finance in Blackburn is seeking a Part-time Credit Controller (3 days a week, 24 hours) to join a growing finance team. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home after probation.

The successful candidate will own a high-volume portfolio, chase overdue payments, and work with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to ensure timely payments and accurate ledgers.

Qualifications

• Proven credit control experience within a high-volume, high-value ledger environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts and end-to-end credit control.
• Proactively pursue overdue payments via telephone and email, negotiate payment plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to resolve queries and cash barriers.
• Process and allocate incoming payments and maintain ledgers.
• Maintain records of credit control activity and monitor aged debtor reports.
• Attend debtor meetings and escalate accounts as needed, while managing relationships.
• Support Credit Control Team Leader on escalated accounts and projects.
