Job summary

Lightfoot is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed-term basis. This part-time, hybrid role involves owning the debtor portfolio, chasing payments, and resolving billing queries while protecting cash flow.

Two office days per week with flexible hours can be discussed in the hiring process. You'll collaborate with invoicing, management reporting, and broader teams to maintain debtor days and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control, preferably within a SaaS business.
• Excellent spoken and strong written communication skills.
• Ability to build customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a bonus but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the debtor portfolio and cash collection to ensure prompt payments.
• Proactively chase invoices via phone and email in a professional manner.
• Manage customer statements and Direct Debit reporting with accuracy.
• Oversee escalation for overdue debt, including initiating legal action when required.
• Investigate invoice queries and liaise with sales, account management and operations.
