Job summary

Travail Employment Group in Grantham is recruiting an experienced part-time cook to join a busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients for around 200 daily covers, including breakfast, lunch, teas, snacks.

The successful candidate will handle general food prep, service cooking and cleaning. Working Friday and Saturday 9am–5pm, with a view to permanent for the right person; benefits include uniform, staff discount and pension.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Part time Cook to join our client’s busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients and good, honest cooking, seating approx. 200 people rolling through the day including breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas, snacks etc

Working in a large kitchen team, the successful individual will be responsible for general food prep, service cooking and cleaning down.

Working Friday and Saturday every week 9am – 5pm

Duties for Cook include:

• Prepare, cook and present food to a high standard
• Work safely around the kitchen equipment
• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
• Monitor portion size and waste

Skills needed for cook:

This role would suit somebody from a school, café, large volume canteen or large nursing home style home cooking environment. Temporary with the possibility of becoming Permanent for the right candidate
