Job summary

Depaul is seeking a dedicated cook for Foyle Haven in Derry/Londonderry. The role delivers home cooked, nutritionally balanced meals to up to 23 service users, with varying dietary requirements, while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The post is part-time (10 hours per week) and permanent, with weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Training and supervision are provided within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering demonstrated or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• To prepare and cook delicious home cooked nutritional meals with varying dietary requirements.
• Monitor service user meal consumption and liaise with staff to ensure nutritional needs are being met.
• Develop individual meal plans for service users with specialised dietary needs.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen meets high standards and Environmental Health requirements.
• Follow kitchen procedures and maintain records in line with Environmental Health policies.
