Job summary

Care Dorset Limited is seeking a part-time cook to prepare, cook and serve meals in a care setting in Wareham. You will assist with external meals for meals-on-wheels and help ensure quality, cost-efficient use of resources, while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role runs 25 hours per week, with shifts 8am–1pm or 3pm and alternate weekends. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Prepare meals in accordance with approved menus.
• Assist with external meals and meals-on-wheels production.
• Check deliveries for quality and quantity.
• Maintain cost-efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Clean kitchen areas to Environmental Health standards.
• Working hours and part-time schedule; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks as per menus.
• Assist in preparation/handling of external meals for meals-on-wheels.
• Ensure correct, economical use of materials and equipment.
• Keep kitchen areas clean to Environmental Health standards.
