Job summary

Prospect House Primary Specialist School in Higher Blackley, Manchester, is seeking a Lunchtime Organiser to support pupils during lunch periods, ensuring a safe and engaging break. This part-time, permanent post is 13 hours per week during term time only.

You will supervise the dining hall and playground, assist with feeding and personal care where required (training provided) and help run lunchtime clubs to promote social interaction and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people, SEND experience preferred but not essential.
• Willing to undertake personal care and safe use of specialist equipment training.
• Awareness of child protection policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during lunchtime to ensure they are safe, engaged and enjoying a positive break.
• Supervise pupils in dining hall and playground; assist with feeding and personal care where required (training provided).
• Support lunchtime activities and groups, fostering social interaction and independence.
• Work with teaching staff and senior lunchtime organisers to maintain calm, safe environments.
• Deliver first aid when necessary and support with minor accidents and reassurance.
