Prospect House Primary Specialist School in Higher Blackley, Manchester, part of Prospere Learning Trust, is hiring a Lunchtime Organiser for 13 hours per week during term time. The role supports pupils at lunchtime, promoting safe eating, supervision and a calm break.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, SEND experience is welcome but not essential.
• Compassionate, patient and a strong team player.
• Reliable and committed to supporting children’s wellbeing.
• Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions confidently.
• Willing to undertake relevant training, including personal care and safe use of specialist equipment.
• Awareness of child protection policies; first aid qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during lunchtime to ensure safety, engagement and a positive break.
• Supervise dining hall and playground areas.
• Assist with feeding, toileting and changing as required (training provided).
• Support lunchtime clubs and activities for groups of students.
• Create a calm, positive environment to promote social interaction and independence.
• Work closely with teaching staff and senior lunchtime organisers.
• Provide first aid where necessary and support with minor accidents.
