Job summary

School Space in Oxford is seeking a part-time Community Connector to help turn school spaces into welcoming community hubs. You’ll open and close local schools in the evenings and at weekends and provide outstanding customer service.

You’ll set up and tidy spaces, support bookings, and communicate with the operations team. DBS check is required; hours average 5–15 per week. Pay is £12.75 per hour, with pension, annual leave and flexible shift swaps.

• This is a role where you may be working on site alone, or with other Community Connectors to manage larger usage, with support from line manager and On Call team

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing assigned local school in the evenings and weekends
• Providing great customer service and communicating what’s happening at schools to the operations team
• Carrying out checks as necessary and some cleaning/tidying after bookings
• Setting up and clearing away tables and chairs during events or bookings
