Job summary

Johnstons of Elgin is seeking a permanent part-time Coffee Shop Team Leader in Hawick to support the Coffee Shop Manager and lead the front-of-house team to deliver consistently high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have hospitality experience, strong people skills, and the ability to plan and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-standard environment. Starting pay £13.75 per hour, with flexible 5 days from 7.

Qualifications

• Have previous hospitality experience, preferably in a supervisory or team-leading role within a busy café, coffee shop, restaurant or similar environment.
• Have strong interpersonal skills with people at all levels with experience leading and developing a team.
• Be able to plan and prioritise your own and your team’s workload and deal with conflicting deadlines.
• Be proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Have a passion for food & customer service.
• Demonstrate ability of delivering high levels of service in a quality, ideally 5-star, fast-paced coffee shop environment.
• Have the ability to excel under pressure in a busy, dynamic environment.
