Job summary

UPP Ltd is seeking a Cleaner for a part-time role in Exeter. The position runs 25 hours per week from 9:00 am to 14:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary is £25,394.70 per year, pro rata £16,930.65.

You will clean student accommodation, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, and handle laundry and window tasks during summer. We require prior cleaning experience in a similar environment, plus strong communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and a good command of

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas for student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, wash walls, doors and furniture.
• Empty waste bins and manage rubbish to bin stores.
• Join summer cleaning tasks including bed making and linen handling.
• Liaise with residents and Residence Managers.
• Follow Health & Safety policies at all times.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team.This is a part- time position working 25 hours per week from 9:00 am to 14:00pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £25,394.70 (pro rata £16,930.65) per annum.This role will be responsible for cleaning the designated areas for our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and all white goods contained in the kitchens.This will include:Vacuum, spot clean and shampoo carpets, sweep and polish floors and clean stairsWash walls, doors, furniture, radiators, lampshades as appropriateEmpty waste bins and remove rubbish from flats to bin store areasDuring the summer season only: Make beds, including stripping and changing sheeting collection of laundered linen from store, bag and pack laundry for collectionClean internal and external windows, where applicableClean and wash glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils, as appropriateDaily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers and associated UPP staffAct in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all timesWe truly care about the experience of our residents and invite you to join our friendly and passionate team to help make a positive difference to students living away from home in our accommodation.We are looking for you to already have experience of cleaning in a similar environment and have great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to do an excellent job.You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You will also be prepared to work (with notice) at other sites if required and additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
