Job summary

Cavendish Junior School in Derby is seeking a Part-time Childcare Activity Leader to bring energy and creativity to breakfast and after school clubs for children aged 4–11. The role is split-shift, mornings and afternoons, with term-time hours and overtime opportunities during holiday camps.

You’ll deliver engaging activities, supervise safely, prepare snacks, and help sign-ins with a friendly smile. DBS checks are part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Loves working with children and has a positive can-do attitude.
• Creative thinker who can turn an ordinary afternoon into a magical experience.
• Team player who can lead activities and manage a group.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities for children aged 4–11.
• Set up engaging play spaces and keep things safe, clean, and awesome.
• Supervise children with care and enthusiasm, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, and included.
• Prepare snacks and manage sign-in/out processes with a friendly face and attention to detail.
• Work split shifts: 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm.
• Be a team player who can also take the lead when needed.
