Brockenhurst College invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Chemistry (0.4–0.6 FTE) on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to curriculum development.

The successful candidate will have a chemistry degree, strong teaching abilities, and the capacity to lead courses and develop resources. The college offers excellent facilities and a pro rata salary range of £33,367–£44,365 per year.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject.
• Proven ability to teach and motivate learners.
• Knowledge of current Chemistry A-level developments.
• Ability to develop effective learning resources.

Responsibilities

• Teach on courses as agreed with the Curriculum Leader.
• Act as Course Leader when requested.
• Prepare and mark student work; monitor progress and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to informed curriculum planning.
• Contribute to curriculum design and development, including blended learning.
