Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking a part-time Chef Study Programme Manager and Lecturer to teach across our Professional Cookery and Hospitality programmes. You’ll deliver practical, industry-relevant learning while mentoring learners to achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

The role offers a 15-hour week, year-round, with a focus on flexibility and student success, alongside generous benefits and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Industry expertise in Professional Cookery or Catering with a qualification up to Level 3.
• Teaching across a range of courses and levels with the aim of engaging learners.
• Commitment to learner success; experience tutoring and tracking progress.
• Creative approach to learning; develop flexible resources using digital tech.
• Right qualifications – GCSE English & Maths A-C; teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one; assessor qualification desirable.
• Positive, organised team player with strong communication, initiative and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Professional Cookery and Hospitality programmes, including practical sessions.
• Deliver engaging learning experiences that bring industry to life.
• Use industry experience to keep learning relevant and support progression.
• Provide guidance to learners and track progress toward qualifications.
