Are you an experienced chef looking for a more rewarding career where your skills can genuinely change lives?
A leading specialist college and training hotel on the Somerset coast is seeking a passionate Chef Tutor to join its dedicated team. This unique setting supports young adults with learning disabilities, helping them develop the confidence, independence, employability and life skills needed to thrive in adulthood.
Unlike a traditional college, students learn within a fully operational hospitality environment, gaining real-world experience in catering, customer service and hotel operations. This creates an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to pass on their industry knowledge while helping young people achieve meaningful outcomes and greater independence.
As a Chef Tutor, you will work within a professional kitchen environment, preparing and serving high-quality meals while supporting students to develop practical catering and hospitality skills. You will demonstrate industry best practice, coach students through hands‑on learning experiences and help build their confidence in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Working closely with learning support staff and a wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help create engaging learning opportunities that prepare students for future employment within the hospitality industry.
This role is ideal for experienced chefs looking to move into education. Full training, mentoring and ongoing professional development are provided, including support to gain relevant teaching qualifications where required.
If you're looking for a fresh challenge where your culinary skills can inspire, educate and transform lives, we'd love to hear from you.
