Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Chef for Oxford Clinic, Littlemore Mental Health Centre. This part-time role offers a balanced schedule across two alternating weeks and enhanced weekend pay, joining a friendly Catering Team to prepare nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors.

You will ensure high-quality catering, maintain hygiene, and support wellbeing and recovery through excellent food and service in a NHS setting.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety certificate required (Level 3 desirable).
• Ability to manage workload and deliver meals to deadlines in a busy kitchen.
• Deliver high-quality catering service meeting nutritional needs of patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality catering for patients, staff and visitors, ensuring nutritional, safety and presentation standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hygienic kitchen in line with legislation and policies.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, salads, desserts and other menu items.
• Cook food to correct temperatures with consistent quality.
• Process meals for patients with dietary requirements, liaising with nursing staff.
