Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant in Cellular Pathology based at Royal Preston Hospital. The post is part-time and permanent, with a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm pattern and no on-call requirement.

The appointee will deliver a comprehensive histopathology service, avoid reporting neuropathology cases, and develop specialist interests to support Cancer services. Administrative duties and coordination with other staff are expected, along with ongoing research

Qualifications

• Consultant in Cellular Pathology role, based at Royal Preston Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive histopathology service.
• Develop specialist interests to complement Cancer services.
• Co-operate with Pathology Directorate for administrative duties and staffing.
• Participate in leadership, governance and resource management within the department.
• Support research activity and mentorship programs.
• Engage in annual appraisal and revalidation processes.
