Job summary

Vertas Group’s Catering team is seeking a cook for Harrold Odell Country Park. You will prepare and serve meals to site standards, manage your cooking station and monitor stock levels.

Shifts average 18 hours per week on a fortnightly rotation (8:30am–2:30pm), Wednesday to Saturday, including bank holidays. Proven chef experience and the right to work in the UK are required to join a dedicated culinary team.

Qualifications

• Proven chef experience, ideally in contract catering.
• Knowledge of cooking methods and processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food day to day to site standards.
• Managing your station and delivering food on time.
• Following hygiene and safety practice with equipment, utensils and food storage.
• Keeping ingredients fresh and reordering stock when supplies run low.
• Working with the culinary team to maintain quality and service through the shift.
