Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join the Catering Team at East Leake Academy, LE12 6QN. The role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:00–14:00, for 39.2 weeks per year, delivering high‑quality catering in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include meal preparation and serving, excellent pupil/staff/customer service, and maintaining kitchen and dining areas with strict food safety and health and safety procedures. DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Previous catering or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.

• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties.
