Job summary

The Birley Academy is seeking a Part Time Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team. The role involves supporting the preparation, presentation and service of healthy meals for students and staff.

Working with the Catering Manager and kitchen team, you will help maintain high hygiene standards and customer service while creating a welcoming dining environment that supports the wellbeing of our school community.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality or food service environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly catering team at The Birley Academy. This rewarding role involves supporting the preparation, presentation and service of healthy, nutritious meals for our students and staff. Working closely with the Catering Manager and wider kitchen team, you will help maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and customer service while creating a welcoming dining environment where students can enjoy their meals and feel valued. Every day, your contribution will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of our school community.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a reliable, positive and hardworking individual who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You will have experience in a catering, hospitality or food service environment, a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting. We are seeking someone who is organised, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards while supporting the health and wellbeing of our students through the provision of nutritious meals.
