Job summary

McCarthy Stone is looking for a part-time Care Assistant to support residents at Ryland Place, Edgbaston, Birmingham. This single-site role involves helping with daily tasks and activities in a modern, community-focused development.

You will provide compassionate care, support independence, and help create a welcoming environment for older adults while working within a friendly on-site team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily domestic tasks such as appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promote independence, dignity, and community engagement.
• Support with individual care packages.
