Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd is seeking a part-time Care Assistant for the Gosforth, Newcastle location. You will support residents in one central site, helping with daily tasks and social activities to promote independence and wellbeing.

The role offers funded training, pension and life insurance, and wellbeing support. Local commuting distance is preferred, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
• Caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Location: living within commuting distance of the development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with daily tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
• Assisting with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promoting independence, dignity, and community engagement.
• Supporting with individual care packages.
