Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. in Leeds is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to support a 17-year-old boy with Down Syndrome and Autism. Pay is £12.71 per hour, with 4 hours weekly during term-time and an additional 4 hours in school holidays.

You'll assist with communication, activities, and daily routines, accompany him to local places, and help create a calm, supportive environment. Driving and a valid license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with additional needs preferred.
• Willing to learn Makaton, Down Syndrome and Autism training.
• Calm, confident demeanor and reliability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with family and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and support time, activities and communication.
• Accompany him in local area and favourite places.
• Assist with meals, social and leisure activities.
• Support independence and safeguarding.
