Job summary

Hereford Racecourse is seeking a highly organised, customer-focused Part-time Business Coordinator to join our team this September. You will coordinate hospitality bookings, liaise with clients and work closely with sales, operations and delivery teams to ensure every race day and non-race day event runs smoothly.

As the main on-site commercial contact, you’ll build strong client relationships, support invoicing with the finance team and contribute to on-site commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the main on-site contact for commercial racing and non-racing events.
• Coordinating event and hospitality bookings from final confirmation through to delivery.
• Building strong relationships with clients as their trusted planning partner.
• Working with sales, operations and delivery teams to ensure events run smoothly.
• Managing enquiries and ensuring clear communication between stakeholders.
• Supporting invoicing and payment processes with the finance team.
• Delivering professional venue show rounds to prospective clients.
• Maintaining site collateral and keeping business systems up to date.
• Assisting the General Manager with commercial initiatives and community representation.

Job description

Hereford Racecourse is a popular racecourse for trainers starting their horse's careers and for prep races ahead of prestigious Festivals later in the season. The course is almost rectangular in shape measuring about 1m 3f around and is widely regarded as a fair, galloping track.

Many a horse has started off a glittering career, most recently Finian's Oscar made a stunning British debut at the track in December 2016.

We're looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Part-time Business Coordinator to join Hereford Racecourse this September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing people, projects and events together.

As the key on-site commercial contact, you'll work closely with our sales, operations and delivery teams to ensure every race day and non-race day event runs seamlessly. From coordinating hospitality bookings and supporting valued clients to showcasing the venue and working with the local community, no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the main on-site contact for commercial racing and non-racing events.
• Coordinating event and hospitality bookings from final confirmation through to successful delivery.
• Building strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted point of contact throughout the planning process.
• Working closely with sales, operations and delivery teams to ensure every event is executed to the highest standard.
• Managing direct enquiries and ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders.
• Supporting accurate invoicing and payment processes in partnership with the finance team.Delivering professional venue show rounds to prospective clients.
• Maintaining high-quality site collateral and ensuring business systems are kept up to date.
• Supporting the General Manager with commercial initiatives and representing the racecourse within the local community.
