Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Building Fabric Maintenance Engineer to support statutory, legislative and mandatory building fabric maintenance on a client site. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and completing repairs to required safety standards.

You will work 20 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, with input on cost awareness and best practice, and you will guide apprentices where required while liaising with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship
• NVQ Level 3 in Building Fabric or equivalent
• Practical engineering and building fabric maintenance experience
• Experience working independently in a technical maintenance environment
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
• Experience using CMMS
• Good communication with customers and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within technical capability.
• Carry out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance.
• Ensure systems and assets are maintained to regulations and best practice.
• Undertake like-for-like asset replacements and minor new works.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support apprentices when required.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and company processes.
