Job summary

Lighthouse Hotel Management is hiring a Breakfast Chef for a part-time role (18 hours per week) at the Courtyard by Marriott, Inverness. You will help run the breakfast buffet and maintain high standards of guest service in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will join a supportive team, receive on-the-job training, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience while ensuring hygiene and food safety compliance for all guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written; other languages are a bonus.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experience with adaptability for allergen requirements.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A drive to work as part of a team to exceed expectations and promote the hotel’s brand and services.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the hotel operates 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the breakfast buffet and fuel guests to start their day.
• Collaborate with the food and beverage team to maximise guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest requests, meal modifications and complaints with grace and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and compliant working environment and follow hotel procedures.
• Lead by example in food handling, preparation and station setup to ensure hygiene standards.
