Job summary

Somerset Solders Ltd, incorporating Somerset Workwear, an established Somerset business serving electronics, construction, medical and transport sectors, seeks an experienced Accounts Administrator. You will handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping in a small, friendly team and work 16 hours per week with hybrid options to discuss.

The role requires at least two years’ bookkeeping experience, strong Xero skills, and the ability to work independently across routine tasks. ERP experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
• Experience with Xero is essential.
• ERP system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
• Credit control and customer statements.
• Bank and nominal ledger reconciliations.
• Resolving supplier and customer invoice queries.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
