Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a Part-Time Behaviour Support Assistant to support students across Sunderland and South Shields. The role fits school hours, with Monday to Friday sessions from 8:30am to 1:30pm, across multiple provisions.

You will collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to promote attendance, positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities, while building student self-confidence and relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in supportive roles.
• Ability to collaboratively support teaching staff and pastoral teams.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support students who require additional behavioural support across multiple sites.
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour plans.
• Encourage attendance, engagement and positive behaviour within classrooms.
• Assist with learning activities and adapt resources for individual needs.
• Build positive relationships and promote self-confidence among students.
