Job summary

Age UK Westminster is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable Part-Time Assistant Shop Manager to join our charity shop team at 522 Harrow Road, London. This permanent role offers 14 hours per week, paid at £14.80 per hour, with a contributory pension, health plan and staff discount.

You will work alongside the Shop Manager to oversee daily operations, maximise sales, manage donated stock and supervise volunteers, ensuring excellent customer service and shop presentation.

Qualifications

• Retail, charity shop or customer-facing experience required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to supervise volunteers and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
• Assist with stock management, pricing, merchandising and displays.
• Supervise, motivate and support shop volunteers.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build donor relationships.
• Promote Gift Aid and manage daily takings.
• Maintain shop presentation and health and safety standards.
• Oversee cash handling and daily cash reconciliation.
