Job summary

The School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society at Heriot‑Watt University invites applications for a Part‑Time Project Coordinator on the LocalTech project: AI skills development in construction. The role focuses on coordinating knowledge exchange activities and engaging with employers in Scotland.

Qualifications

• A degree in business, project management or another relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Experience of coordinating projects, meetings, events or stakeholder-engagement activities.
• Experience of working effectively with external stakeholders such as employers, industry partners or professional organisations.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including agendas, minutes and stakeholder communications.
• Ability to gather, organise and summarise qualitative and quantitative information including stakeholder feedback.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and develop appropriate engagement approaches.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams and organisations.
• Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams and other collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Organise and support quarterly Industry Stakeholder Steering Group meetings and prepare papers.
• Coordinate employer workshops, consultations, curriculum co-design sessions and industry-engagement activities.
• Maintain GA employer network and broaden employer participation.
• Liaise with GA Business Development, industry partners and university teams.
• Gather feedback on sector needs, curriculum development and workplace AI projects.
• Assist in evaluating project impact with qualitative and quantitative evidence.
• Maintain records of engagement, workshops and performance indicators.
