Job summary

West Ashton Church of England (V.A.) Primary School is seeking a dedicated Wraparound Care Assistant to support the Wraparound Care Leader in running the after-school club. The role is fixed term until 31 August 2027 and part-time, 8 hours 15 minutes per week, 3.15pm to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15pm to 4.30pm on Friday, across 38 weeks per year.

You will help plan and organise a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment, and

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, staff and parents.
• Self-motivated, energetic and proactive in delivering safe, high-quality care.
• Experience of working with children in a play/educational setting.
• Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexible, warm and caring approach with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organising activities suitable for primary-aged children.
• Support the Wraparound Care Leader in day-to-day operations of the after-school club.
• Help maintain a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all attending children.
