Job summary

The Royal British Legion seeks a part-time Activities Assistant at Mais House Care Home in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex. You will plan and deliver activities, support residents, and collaborate with staff and families to provide person-centred care.

Ideal candidates will have around two years' experience, a full UK driving licence, and be willing to pursue a Level 2 Award in Social Care. Flexible shifts across seven days are available.

Qualifications

• Patient, empathetic and good listener with strong communication skills.
• Two years' experience in a similar role or environment preferred.
• Full, clean UK driving licence required, comfortable driving an automatic vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities and social events.
• Get to know residents and tailor activities to interests and needs.
• Work with colleagues and relatives to create personalised activities.
